"Each distillation captures a moment in time...a specific and intentional attempt to foster a deeper relationship with the plants and with ourselves; it is as if we are given the opportunity to experience the plants’ souls, and they ours. In this exchange we become characters in their collective stories and they become characters in our stories...and a healing companionship is born. In addition, I truly believe that when we are able to share in a plant’s story, as told through their aroma, we are often able to learn something about ourselves. It is my hope that through these aromatic distillation workshops, we can collectively celebrate the magic of these exchanges and inspire each individual’s own relationship building, both with the plants and with Self."

– Erika Galentin, Herbalist & Distiller, Sovereignty Herbs

"Kathleen,
If you needed any comfirmation that your non traditional set up allowed for something deeply personal and transformative to occur-well there it was on that last day. Each and every person to a greater and lesser degree changed their life trajectory. That it could happen for women in their 20s through the 60s-well-amazing.

Thank you again for creating and holding that space / trust / peaceful hominess / transcendent acceptance and genuine love of the subject all together. I am confident that the degree of change I have been able to achieve these last 6 months are in no small part as a result of my taking part in your sacred tradition.

With love and respect"

Where I Come From Chlorophyll is Queen

Where I come from chlorophyll is Queen

She has always been the undisputed champion of the people

Prima Donna

Prima facie

One without challenge or vying contender

Spring of Springs

Holder of the living Scepter

We like it that way

She is Monarch

Conqueror, warrior and midwife

Delivering and protecting us

From sickness, pain and evil

Chlorophyllia the 1st since creation conception

The Divine Deity of Interceptors

Empress without dispute or correction

We call her the Green Queen

The Jade Reconciliator –Consigliore

En Domini Veritas Christos

Bringing peace and equity to the nation

As written in the manuscripts of her botanical scriptures

We are her progeny

We are her seeds

She is our milk

Our daily bread

The root of our existence upon which we lay our head

She is the God of Light reflected

Photosynthesis injected

In every thing on earth we see

In every living, breathing plant

In all the herbs of nature’s fields

In every tree that bears fruit

In every fingerprinted leaf

To chlorophyll we humbly kneel

And from our hearts

We give our thanks and praises

“Sacred Plant Tradition’s clinical training gave me a deep and well nourished ground on which to grow as an herbalist. Throughout every lesson, whether it was anatomy, patho-physiology or materia medica, the sacred spirit of the plant world was always present. Having the opportunity see a wide range of clients in the clinic took the medicine of the plants off the page of a book and into the real world. Studying with Kathleen has expanded my understanding of the relationship between the plants and people in such a deep and profound way.”

"I wanted to take a minute to say THANK YOU! I've really enjoyed your class, I've learned so much. It's a very empowering feeling!! Nine months ago I was apprehensive about just making my own medicinal teas, now I can throw all kinds of medicines together fearlessly and with confidence. It's great how I can pass by the expensive medicine at the health food store (saying "I can make that") and pass up the drugs at the pharmacy (saying "I don't need that!")."

"I really appreciate you going above and beyond to answer our questions, to fill our orders, and to stop what you're doing to think about the best herb for our ailments in between lectures. This class has been so informative and lots of fun. I'm really excited about my future with herbs now in my life thanks to you. =)"
